Tech Roadmap: The Bar
Building a full-scale 3D social bar on Unity, for Android (64-bit sideload APK) and WebGL browser versions.
Two equal builds — same world, shared backend.
Phase 0 — Core Foundations
Goal: Unified cross-platform base.
Engine: Unity 2022+ with URP; optimized shared asset pipeline.
Targets:
Android 64-bit sideload APK (touch UI, gesture controls).
WebGL build for browser (Vegl runtime).
Networking: WebSocket (events, chat), with scalable backend API.
Data: users, profiles, bars, slots, messages, gifts, boosts.
Done when: both builds connect to one backend and hold 60 FPS (PC) / 30 FPS (mobile).
Phase 1 — 3D Scene & Camera
Goal: Cinematic immersion.
Three themed bar scenes (lighting, props, layout).
Camera modes: Overview / Dialogue / Counter / Bartender / Private.
Parallax depth, smooth transitions, gesture & mouse input.
Done when: stable camera switching across both builds.
Phase 2 — Chat & Interaction
Goal: Real-time social layer.
Public + group chats, PM threads with reply & mention.
Profiles: view, message, gift, wink / wave / kiss emotes.
AI bartender (Kate / Mike) for tips & small talk.
Done when: cross-platform messaging fully synced (<300 ms latency).
Phase 3 — Attention & Performance
Goal: Turn attention into gameplay.
Visibility ranking (interests / activity / boosts).
Boosts, pole shows, “treat all” events, drink effects.
Smooth camera reactions & light FX.
Done when: bar feels dynamic, events propagate instantly.
Phase 4 — Private Scenes & Geo
Goal: Expand realism & personalization.
Private dialogue view (cinematic close-up).
Soft “exit” animation for ignored PMs.
Thematic & private bars; Geo-filter (1–100 km).
Done when: seamless switch between scenes; GEO works opt-in.
Phase 5 — Moderation & Economy
Goal: Stability and sustainable loop.
Onboarding, rate limits, light-humor moderation.
Tokens for boosts / drinks / stages; secure payment API.
Profile views + badges visible in scene.
Done when: transactions atomic; metrics & logs stable.

LOD models, texture atlases, asset bundles, cache.
